The great debate about the USC defense heading into the Notre Dame game

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio discussing the hottest topic surrounding the Trojan football team, the performance of the USC defense at the halfway point of the season. From the outside many of the same issues this defense had last year appear to still be there, breakdowns in coverages, poor tackling and the inability to get stops late in games. But hearing from Lincoln Riley and players and coaches, their view is the defense is much improved over last season.
Ryan and Connor give their thoughts on how the defense is trending after six games as USC is now heading into its most important and difficult stretch of the season.
They also give an injury update including wide receiver Zachariah Branch as well as cornerbacks Domani Jackson and Christian Roland-Wallace. USC head coach Lincoln Riley told reporters that Branch and Roland-Wallace weren't full participants but Jackson was.
The guys also look ahead to the biggest game of the season to this point, a tough road trip to archrival Notre Dame.
