This week we spoke to Dr Kate Kennedy about her new book, Dweller in Shadows- A Life of Ivor Gurney. This is the first comprehensive biography of an extraordinary English poet and composer whose life was haunted by fighting in the First World War and, later, confinement in a mental asylum. We also discussed life writing and the intersection between music and the written word.
