This is an Actual Play of the Backwater Tabletop Roleplaying Game. After the end of civilization as we know it, humanity began to rebuild... Or at least it tried. Boasting an original game system that is both familiar and unique, and a setting reminiscent of post apocalyptic franchises such as Fallout or Bioshock, Backwater is an indie game that does a lot of things right. Backwater uses a d20 for most rolls, making contested rolls for attacks and skill based challenges, and utilizing an exquisitely organized framework to let players customize characters and get them out into the world to survive, thrive, and be horrified at what they find in the marshes, manors, and hollers.
