This Peace Talks Radio program discusses lessening the stigma around
commonly named mental illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia, and
psychosis, as well as how to support someone appearing to have a mental
health challenge in public, for example, on the street, in a building, or
on a bus. Or in our family or circle of friends. The program also looks at
the conflict in mental health care over the diagnosis and treatment of the
450 mental disorders listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders (DSM).
