The 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq was based on the allegation that the country's dictator, Saddam Hussein, had weapons of mass destruction. In his new book, author Steve Coll pored over hundreds of audio tapes and transcripts, many previously unreleased, of internal meetings to uncover Hussein's view on his tumultuous relationship with the United States.
