Nina Huang decided to work full-time as an artist after leaving a PhD program in Sociology at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was during that time that Nina adopted her first Greyhound, Apollo. She later wrote a Kickstarter-funded children's book entitled, My Apollo. She paints a variety of subjects including animals and nature, and also produces videos on the artistic process.
Nina Huang is an artist and author based in Portland, Oregon. In today's episode, she shares her two Greyhound rescue stories - Apollo and Pebbles.
We have a wide-ranging conversation with Nina. Her dogs, spirituality, the creative process, and her latest book with the working title, The Enlightened Creator, a book inspired by the Tao Te Ching.
