In this episode of the Pawareness Podcast, host Kris McCauley welcomes Lindsay Layendecker, Director of Community Partnerships of the Jacksonville Humane Society.  Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville Humane Society is one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the county. They provide support for animals in their community such as adoptions and outreach programs.

Jacksonville Humane Society has established a promising partnership with their municipal shelter to provide shelters for homeless animals and to give every rescue a chance to survive and thrive. Over the years, they have become one of the largest no-kill shelters in the county. Lindsay emphasizes their organization’s core mission which includes supporting people who expressed interest in adopting animals with resources and opportunities that pave the opportunity to save animals.

“We want animals to have every chance at a live outcome. You can’t save the pets without the people.” - Lindsay Layendecker
