Frankie Ratford is an Australian designer and entrepreneur who runs The Design Kids, a company she founded which bridges the gap between studying and working within the graphic design industry. She started The Design Kids in 2009 and launched with a market stall in the front yard with some mates and a DJ stool.

The Design Kids is now a global online resource for thousands of students and graduate graphic designers, with many local offline communities around the world too. Their aim is to educate, inspire and connect young people to the design industry.

Today’s episode will look more at Frankie’s story and how she started the Design Kids whilst balancing multiple day jobs, flying to work every week and overcoming huge challenges in starting a business.
