Come, Holy Spirit, Come

Paul writes in Romans 8, "We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies."As we mark Pentecost once again, we see that the same Holy Spirit fire is the very thing our world yearns for today in the wake of such senseless violence brought on by the prevailing culture of godlessness and the demons of apathy, immorality, hopelessness and fear that rob our communities of vitality, morality, hope and love.
