Matthew 21:1-17
Jesus is ushered into the city of Jerusalem with a parade of praise from His followers and disciples. They shout that He is the One who comes in the Name of the Lord. He is going to to save them and free them from Roman oppression. Jesus accepts this praise with the knowledge that in just a few days the shout of praise will turn into shouts of rage for Him to be crucified. His time has come and His purpose is about to be fulfilled. In the early part of this holy week, takes the time to disrupt a city looking for a Savior, and a religious system vainly trying to provide salvation to establish truth about Himself that connect to how He is the true and only Savior.
