“How Can There Be Peace?” In this sermon, Pastor Jerry asks this question drawing from a story in 2nd Kings Chapter 9, verses 14-24. The story is about Captain Jehu and King Joram. Joram was the reigning King of Israel, but God anointed one of the Captains of his army, Jehu, to take his place as king because of the wickedness of Joram and his family. Jehu rides into town in his chariot, and upon their meeting King Joram asks if Jehu has come in peace. “How can there be peace?” Jehu responds, your mother Jezebel has caused everyone to practice witchcraft and idolatry. How can we expect peace either, if our lives are filled with stubbornness and rebellion? God says these things are as the sin of witchcraft and idolatry. This message is challenging and provoking, but will help us rid our lives of satanic influences that rob us of peace. If you need more peace in your life, you need the hear this message.
