Seven Types of Prayer Part 2: The series continues with #2 Petitions, #3 Praise, and #4 Thanksgiving. Petitions are the MOST common type of prayer. We have all asked God for something and that's proper, He told us to ask. However, we sometimes act as though God is nothing more than some cosmic genie, who we hope will grant our wishes. God's far more than that, and He deserves prayers of praise and thanksgiving offered in faith, 'with' our petitions.
