Get Thee Behind Me, Episode 6: Chapter 4, Part 2

Welcome to "Get Thee Behind Me," a new series from Unfinished Community where we explore the objectively terrible theology and somehow even worse writing of the "Left Behind" novels from the late 1990s. These books (and other media) were a massive hit in their time, but they didn't come out of nowhere; they're the evolution of centuries of heresy and cultism made manifest with all the polish and shine that the evangelical/political organization in America could bring to bear.

In Episode 6, we continue our journey with both Tim Gross and Lady Courtney the Eternally Present, exploring the second half of the "exciting" fourth chapter of this "book." How do you manage to cook an egg IN your coffee? If the anti-Christ is a third-tier Romanian politician focusing on currency conglomeration, what happened to Mitch McConnell? Did he finally have a "come to Jesus" moment? What about the rest of American politics? I mean, we don't want to be colonialist or anything, but given the state of the place one would assume that the antichrist would come from there, right?
