We all know the scripture John 8:31 very well, “the truth will set you free”.  And your response maybe then why don’t more people choose truth.  Because truth is not always the easiest thing to embrace.

The truth about self, will require some accountability, the truth about our relationships with others may require self-evaluation, and then again some accountability or truth will uncover not always the prettiest picture, and the truth about the reality of life and the world in which we live is avoided due to various levels of fear: fear of change, fear of loss, fear of failure, fear of condemnation and the list goes on and on.

In many ways, we have come to look at “truth” as bad, uncomfortable as a 4 letter word that brings doom and gloom.  Which is all a deception promoted by Satan himself because we know the Word of God tells us in John 17:17 that we should be sanctified in truth, meaning welcoming it, saturated with it, marinated in it. But what the devil knows is when we debunk truth it keeps us in a dark place, out of the will of God and more accessible to be used by and for him.
