Ingrid learned to be independent as a young girl as her mother taught Ingrid how to navigate the Public Transportation system in Cape Town, her birthplace.  The family did not own a car until Ingrid was older. Through this lesson, Ingrid gained confidence that would help her as a young adult and travelling to various African nations.

Ingrid instilled the same confidence in her daughters and due to the pandemic, Ingrid tells us that the family had to sell the family car and Ingrid utilizes the public transportation system in George to visit her clients. A lot of walking gives one time to think and enjoy one's surroundings.
