Light pollution emanates from excessive and obtrusive light produced by humans at night. It mainly comes from electricity from houses, offices, streetlamps, billboards and car headlights. Evidence is growing that light pollution has negative effects on human health.

In the latest episode of Pasha Bernard Coetzee, a conservation scientist from the University of the Witwatersrand, takes us through what light pollution is, how big a problem it is and how it can be dealt with.
