Tom Pescatore is a writer who mainly focused on crafting poetry and writing books. He was struggling with trying to complete a novel in which the central conceit was a noir-type mystery that unfolded around a cat being the main character. Unfortunately, he couldn’t quite get the idea to gel in the way he wanted until a friend suggested turning the idea into a comic book. Thus was born Junction Jones and The Corduroy Conspiracy. Together with Argentinian artist Luciano Cruzado, Pescatore created a world influenced by the works of Moebius and other great European science fiction graphic novels. This week on the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian chats with Pescatore and Cruzado on how they came together to create one of the most unique and interesting comics out in the market today!
