Mayfield Eight is a comic created in the spirit of a grindhouse style biker gang movie. The creator of Mayfield Eight just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the second issue of his biker gang bonanza. Tim Larsen started his artistic career as a painter but several years ago his artistic muse led him towards getting into making comics. One of the comics Larsen worked on happened to be Baby Badass, a comic Kristian co-created with his friend David Schrader. With Mayfield Eight Larsen takes a deep dive into the world of Hell’s Angels like mayhem and the result is a book unlike anything that’s currently out there in the comic market today! On this episode of Part-Time Fanboy, Kristian chats with Larsen about his inspiration, his writing and artistic process, and the challenges of marketing a comic that leans more towards the mature spectrum of the reading public.
