Mark Booker | Matthew 7:1-6 | A Healthy Community of Love |
This sermon considers Jesus's two arguments against having a judgmental spirit arising from a sense of self-righteousness. Jesus urges us to see our own sin before, and even as, we see and address the sins of others. This is a call to humility, to the right judgment of acknowledging that we are sinners saved by grace. This proper self-understanding, enabled by the amazing love of God for us, is central for healthy Christian communities as we fight against sin together.
