Penny Drop continues to bring together some of London's undiscovered and up and coming DJs. For us it’s all about the music. No gimmicks, no fuss just the best Deep, Disco, Tech and Electro house.

On Saturday 22nd September Penny Drop returns to Dalston’s Moustache Bar with a very special lineup that includes Parisian born DJ duo Filthy French and a DJ set from Neon Highwire. Usual rules apply - FREE entry all night, we supply the music until the early hours and you benefit from the best value bar tariff on the Stoke Newington Road. The Moustache Bar is infamous for a late finish, this is a FREE party you will not want to miss.

Previous Penny Drop artists include DJ Olio, GrahamG, Sean Branton, Elliott Bolton, Filthy French, Jack Sawyer, Ben Davis, Hayley Martinez, DJC-Kay, Lil G and BeauFighters.

Lineup:

NEON HIGHWIRE (DJ Set)

Surrealist geek electro upstarts Neon Highwire are the party destroying sensation that have been named as ones to watch with good reason. They’ve been championed by Tom Robinson of BBC 6Music, had track named track of the year by Sherwood Radio before it was even released and have gained a reputation for their devastating live shows countrywide which have included support slots with Pete & The Pirates, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs & Dragonette to name a few.

93 Feet East named them one of their 93 Picks describing them as "Filed somewhere between a friendlier Death From Above 1979 and a nastier Hot Chip, Neon Highwire specialise in, in their own words “nihilistic deeply distorted-bass driven house”."

Whether it’s the insightful witticisms of their interviews and blog updates, the detail within the multiple layers integral to their sound or the infectious beats that bring to mind the meat of Sonic Youth’s pop phase being fed through a Bugged Out blender, it’s no wonder Neon Highwire count artists such as French Horn Rebellion or Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs amongst their fans. In their own twisted words, it’s an electravaganza.

Having cited ZZT, SBTRKT, SebastiAn, araabMUZIK, Daft Punk and M83 in their top 10 of album artists from 2011, we’re certain that a DJ set from Neon Highwire will be nothing short of devastating.

FILTHY FRENCH

Parisian-born, London-based, new-comer DJ duo Filthy French have beats pumping through their veins. Their love for dance music came during their teenage years while stomping the dancefloors of the French capital. Their influences ranging from the likes of Vitalic, Boys Noize and Joachim Garraud all the way to deeper styles such as Tale of Us and Seth Troxler, they moved permanently to London to be at the heart of their passion -EDM!

Already a firm favourite with Penny Drop, keep an eye out for these guys.
