Within the Fantasy genre there are many tried and true tropes, such as slaying dragons, rescuing princesses, fighting dark lords, brave warriors, mysterious wizards, etc. Name of the Wind is a novel that seeks to bring some of these tropes into a story that feels more grounded and mundane than the typical epic fantastical journey. In this retrospective, the guys discuss the popular novel by Patrick Rothfuss, sharing their perspective on the story as newcomers to the series.
