On this edition of Parallax Views I speak with digital P.I. and host of The Opperman Report Ed Opperman about his fascinating, often wild life as a private investigator, former Yippie, hash smuggler, radio host, and all-around journeyman.

Ed Opperman on Dr. Drew's Lifechangers

We begin the discussion by delving into how Ed got into private investigation. This leads into how he founded EmailRevealer.Com and how he became a digital forensic investigator whose services have included acid searches, adoption investigations, and infidelity cases. During this conversation we get into the Ashley Madison scandal, cyberstalking, and how to protect one's identity online.

From the we transition into how Ed got involved in the legal controversies of the recently passed Coast to Coast AM host Art Bell of late night radio fame. This gets into Art Bell's feud with the "reverse speech" analyst David John Oates and erroneous, slanderous allegations that Bell was involved in child sexual abuse. Ed relates how he became personally involved in this crazy feud.

This leads us into a discussion of private investigator and Los Angeles-based FBI agent Ted Gunderson. Gunderson himself had a feud with Art Bell after a guest on Gunderson's short-wave radio program also made claims the Bell was involved in pedophilia. We get into how Gunderson was involved with the FBI's COINTELPRO (COunter INTELigence PROgram) war against the Black Panthers and later inserted himself into the Satanic Ritual abuse claims and alternative media through the Jeffrey MacDonald and McMartin Preschool cases. We talk about Gunderson's relationship to McMartin Preschool parent Jackie McGauley and his feud with the strange character known as Stew Webb, a self-proclaimed whistleblower that claimed to have married into the Bush family.

From there we delve into Ed's past in New York and involvement with the left-wing Yippie movement. Ed relates his experiences amongst Yippies like Abbie Hoffman and AJ Weberman as well as COINTELPRO's infiltration of the New York counterculture scene of that era. During this portion of the conversation Ed also discusses his adventures in the countercultural drug smuggling scene, work at the WBAI radio station, and involvement in high-profile criminal cases.

From there we get into Ed's own politics. Although he's hung out with both right-wingers like Gunderson and left-wingers like the Yippies, Ed describes himself as a socialist. Ed explains his views on socialism and how he differs greatly from other alt media personalities. At this point we manage to dig into other alt media figures like Alex Jones and the notorious dirty tricks operative Roger Stone which leads us to Ed's relationship to Stone's friend Saint John Hunt, son of the American superspy E. Howard Hunt.

This leads us into a discussion of the ongoing Mueller investigation and the Stormy Daniels/Donald Trump sex scandal case, both of which Ed has a peripheral involvement in. This brings us to the connections that exist between the escort world, celebrities, and politics (see also: this link) ranging from Tiger Woods to Weinergate. This also opens up a discussion about Ed's involvement in porn star Capri Anderson's sexual assault case against Hollywood actor and Alex Jones buddy Charles Sheen, including some details that haven't been covered in the media.

We wrap up the show with a discussion of Ed's "greatest hits" so to speak in regards to the interview he's conducted for The Opperman Report radio. We discuss Ed's recent interviews with Madonna Walden, mother of the Satan-inspired murderess Natasha Cornett, Arlis Perry murder witness Brian McKracken, and Nathan Forest Winter, the child molestation victim of Hollywood filmmaker and Francis Ford Coppola relative Victor Salva. Ed names some of his favorite interviews including the head of the FBI's anthrax investigation Richard Lambert, Sam Kinison's brother, investigative journalist Daniel Hopsicker, the son of Native American activist and American Indian Movement member Leonard Peltier, former Miss Arkansas and Clinton whistleblower Sally Miller, and many more. We also discus Ed's shows on ex-Breitbart/Trump operative Steve Bannon's alleged porn/meth house, the international arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, the Son of Sam murders, organized crime, Watergate plumber Frank Sturgis, the Weather Underground, one-time JonBenet Ramsey murder suspect John Mark Karr, the MOVE bombings, billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and the late Dave McGowan's research into supposed skullduggery in the Laurel Canyon music scene (see also: The "Weird Scenes" Facebook page) and the Four-on-the-Floor/Wonderland Ave. murders involving porn star John Holmes.

The conversation finishes with Ed giving his take on the recent capture of The Original Night Stalker/Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist and what advancements in DNA research will mean for cold cases that could be solved in the future. Ed then tells listeners about his latest work and the deal he has going on for The Opperman Report member's section, which features exclusive shows and documents that you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend listeners consider joining the member's section and supporting the work of Ed Opperman.
