On today's edition of Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to discuss the Florida Panthers going into Colorado and taking care of the Avalanche for an 8-4 road victory to win their first three games of the road trip. The Cats got out to a 3-goal lead in the first 7:41 of the game. Not even a minute into the second frame, the Avs socre twice, where then Paul Maurice used his timeout to settle the team down. Both teams exchanged goals after until the Panthers blew it open in the third period, with only allowed four shots on goal in the third. The Panthers stopped a 5-on-3 on Thursday night against Vegas, but convert on theirs in the third period to take the lead in the third and never surrender it after that. Florida did lose Sam Bennett in this game and Armando discusses the latest update on Bennett's status. The Cats are four points out of the top spot in the NHL, which means they have a chance to win the Presidents' Trophy. Should the Panthers want to win it? And should we want them to win it as well? Also, Maple Leafs forward William Nylander just got paid, with Sam Reinhart having 28 goals on the season, with 17 of them on the road and well on his way to possibly 50 goals, if he asks for $11M, should the Panthers pay him?
