Panthers Missed Opportunity to Secure Second Point in Boston, Lose Multiple Players To Injury

In this highly anticipated matchup, the Panthers were buzzing to start this game as they got out to a 2-0 lead thanks to Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart. The ice tilted in Boston's favor as the Bruins were able to get one goal back on a failed clear by Florida. Panthers controlled play and even went on the power play for five minutes as Oliver Ekman-Larsson got a shoulder to the head by Defenseman Charlie McAvoy with 10:32 in the third period, resulting in a 5-minute major and a match penalty. Panthers failed to score to take the lead, and the Panthers end up losing this in overtime.
