PANTHERS ADVANCE TO THE ECF FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1996 WITH A 3-2 OT WIN OVER TORONTO IN GAME 5

On tonight's live edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brings in Josh Luecht(@JoshLoveHockey) to discuss the Panthers 3-2 OT win over the Toronto Maple Leafs where the Panthers got off to a 2-0 lead, Toronto was able to come back in this one late in the third period, and Nick Cousins gets to overtime winner for the Panthers to send them to their first Eastern Conference Appearance since 1996. The Panthers did in game 5 what they failed to do in Game 4, which was consistently get in front of puck where they had more blocked shots in the first period then all of Game 4. Panthers scored on the PP once again and were perfect on the PK to officially give them the edge over Toronto in the special team category in the series. It was a battle of the goalies where Sergei Bobrovsky and Joseph Woll were not allowing any easy ones in the net. Sergei Bobrovsky went 51 of 53 on the night as he was taking away scoring opportunities for the Leafs. There was a point towards the end of the 2nd period where William Nylander was believed to have tied the game at 2 and a review took 9 minutes to look at(ruled No goal on the ice) where it took away the momentum for the Leafs for a bit. The Panthers were able to stop a Leafs rush on one end and then go on the counter attack and convert one the 3-on-2 with an incredible screen by Radko Gudas in front of Joseph Woll and Nick Cousins toe dragging to create an open shooting lane wins it for Florida.
