57. We Need To Talk About Paraguay (with Dr Rebecca Smith, Executive Director of Para La Tierra)

On this week's show Jack is joined by Dr Rebecca Smith, the Executive Director of Para la Tierra! Her organisation is working to save wildlife across Paraguay, and today she is here to talk candidly about the huge conservation challenges facing the country. She also talks about her work with capuchins, what motivates her and how she believes we need to be more prepared to have difficult and challenging conversations in the world of conservation!

While there is a lot to deal with, there is still a lot to fight for! Thankfully, Para la Tierra are dedicated to conserving fragile habitats through scientific research, community engagement, and environmental education. Their field sites stretch from the wetlands of Ñeembucú to the deep Atlantic Forest, including all the river systems, marshes, and Chaco regions in between.
