Dave transcends time and space to talk family, risk, variants and back to school with highschool math teacher, Yaacov Iland.  Yaacov shares what it has  been like having a parent in Long Term Care and welcoming a new baby into the world during the pandemy.  Yaacov explains to Dave that risk is  a continuum and the problems around the politicialization of the pandemic and vaccines.  Yaacov shares his concerns with climate change and the need for us to become resilient to  fires, drought, floods, hurricanes, cyclones, etc.. Dave hopes for big changes in the near future.  They discuss the complexities of making the world a better place.  Will change come from an enlightened and empathetic billionaire class, out of economic necessity pushed by multinational corporations, or driven by social movements? Yaacov explains how we need policy change at the government level for real change to manifest.
