He is the CEO and founder of REAL UNICORN PRODUCTIONS which has produced the podcast Pull Out And Run, the television show Funny Money(on Amazon Prime), FOUR full-length feature films, Project: Galaxy(on www.tubitv.com & www.plextv.com), It's Just Us, The Talent Process: Retribution, Serket, and coming soon The Talent Process: Reprieve! How did he do all of this? He taught himself! Mainly using YouTube as a resource and driven by an unquenchable thirst for learning and accomplishing his goals, James has created a multi-tiered production company with numerous projects in the can or on the way!
His marketing ideas using video for his band Far Beyond Redemption (FBR) were years ahead of today's IG Reels/Tik Tok video trends! Wait'll you hear the stories of how this played out and led to the creation of the Pull Ot And Run Podcast!
Why is he wired like this? Growing up poor with a Peruvian immigrant mother and a self-taught 'do anything handy-man alcoholic father led to the beginnings of what drive James to this day. His family's story is the quintessential modern American immigrant story!
We delve into how music first entered James' life and became an integral part of who he is today. Thank god for teachers that see the talent and want to encourage it in their student charges! He was a PRODIGY on the Recorder! Lol Van Halen, Pantera, and Metallica soon followed! His first band Southern Steel allowed him to make a living as a performing musician. Then came Far Beyond Redemption a sort of 'spoof band' ala Steel Panther which used videos as an ingenious form of promotion that ultimately led to his skills in and love of film-making!
