Both of us use humor to process and express our most vulnerable moments, whether it be to distance ourselves from the hardship or in an attempt to connect with others or just to laugh so we don't cry. Justin remembers a practical joke between him and his brother that almost ended very badly, and Rebecca recounts the comedy of errors that was the spreading of her dad's ashes. Morbid humor can make people uncomfortable, but can also be a comfort to those who have gone through what is being joked about.
