Patience Murray, stage name Patience McQueen, is an Author, Podcast Host, Performing Artist, and Founder of Pages of Poetry. Many would never even know that Patience survived being shot twice in the Pulse nightclub shooting. She is not a victim, that implies she's still broken. She is not a survivor, that implies she's barely getting by the best she can. She's a champion, because she's faced extreme challenges and succeeded. She's a natural poet, spiritual Rockstar who's voice soothes the soul! She shares her platform with poets from all around the world to help empower, employ, and encourage a new generation of creative entrepreneurs! Introduction to Pages of Poetry: "Pages of Poetry aims to position itself as a resource for black and brown creatives and the advocates who empower them. Pages of Poetry aims to educate, employ, and create a new generation of creative entrepreneurs across the globe while raising awareness about all forms of violence plaguing underserved communities, especially gun violence.I want to work together with other black and brown creatives, and the people who empower them to build a huge village of positive support.It’s the positive support, and the positive village that creates beautiful anomalies like Amanda Gorman. I want to help create 1000 Amanda Gorman’s across the globe.My husband and I believe that there’s a power in storytelling that can be used to uplift these underrepresented communities and persons in all facets of life, but poetry, music, and film happen to be my soul mission.I look forward to introducing the world to Pages of Poetry, as a resource for poets, storytellers, musicians, and the angels God placed here on this earth to empower them.My name is Patience Murray, stage name Patience McQueen.
