Psalm 73:26 NIV 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

1) The Ruin

Psalm 73:26a NIV 26a My flesh and my heart may fail…

Psalm 73:21-22 NIV 21 When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, 22 I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you. Psalm 73:26 NIV 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

2) The Rock

Matthew 7:24-27 NIV 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Psalm 23:2b-3a NIV 2b he leads me beside quiet waters, 3a he refreshes my soul.

3) The Reward

Psalm 73:26 NIV 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Proverbs 11:25b NIV 25b whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

Proverbs 11:25 NIV 25 A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
