Following on from Part I of our new wave episode, focused on The Cars, we're crossing the Atlantic and travelling to Paris to discuss our underrated pick, Indochine.

The best-selling French band of all time, Indochine released their first album in 1982 and have continued to make music ever since - but remain fairly unknown in English-speaking countries. Babs fell in love with the band when living in Luxembourg in 2002, following the release of their smash album Paradize - and also credits their music with motivating her to improve her French. Will Monsieur Fran agree that les rosbifs should embrace the sound of Nicola Sirkis and co - or will he be saying 'sacré bleu!' instead?

You should definitely check out the live versions of Indochine's tracks, such as this one. Babs also recommends the hella catchy Paixão by Hérois do Mar as an introduction to Portuguese new wave.
