Chelsea face Atletico Madrid in the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League knockout stages. Atleti are missing a couple of key players (e.g. Gimenez and Carrasco) but that was unlikely to change the pragmatic style Diego Simeone is known for. Simeone’s team knocked out one of the favourites last year, in Liverpool with devastating counter attacking play. Tuchel has only just taken the helm in the past couple of weeks and this game would be but one of a few in a season defining run of games.
