Kristie Mewis was one of the most-discussed athletes at Outsports ahead of and during the Tokyo Summer Olympics. The question we wrestled with was whether she was publicly out as an LGBTQ athlete. Because we couldn't find a definitive answer to her being out, we decided she was not; Yet she considered herself publicly out because she was living her life openly. When her girlfriend, Sam Kerr, posted an image of them kissing shortly after the Olympics, all questions were answered. Mewis joins us this week to talk about that, the Olympics and her Title IX promotion with Six Star Nutrition celebrating female athletes and giving away jerseys.
