The Pioneer: Savannah Burton made history in 2015 as the first transgender Canadian to earn a place on a national team for an international competition when she made Team Canada Dodgeball and helped the team win a silver medal at the world championships that year. She also fought a successful fight to take down archaic regulations that hampered trans participation in the sport, which affect policy in other. With her leading one of the favorites in next week's Canadian national championship, we beam her up to talk about her past, the coming present, and her other passion -- acting!
