I'll be honest, I didn't have "Mets fans booing Francisco Lindor by the end of April" on my 2021 baseball bingo card. But so far, the highlight of his season has been wearing Eddie Murphy's Coming to America jacket to Spring Training. And all of Queens has been responding to him as if he just shouted "Good morning, my neighbors!"
On today's episode, Youtuber and Friend of the Pod Melody Maia Monet is back to figure out what on earth has led to Lindor's hellacious early season slump and what he can do to get out of it. Take some $300 million contract pressure, add some good old fashioned New York sports fan rage, mix in a little deadened baseball, and simmer it in a swing that suddenly look as coordinated as Elaine Benes on the dance floor and you have Mr. Smile's current predicament.
