Sesame Street is one of those things you rarely question how did it come to be. One day someone put you on to it as a young child and the impression it made stuck with you for life. We all know the theme song and how today's episode was brought you by the letter blah blah blah and the number blah blah blah. But I found out a while ago that all of this was put in play because people wanted Black kids in Harlem to learn. With all the craziness around the Sesame Place muppets bypassing little Black children I felt it was only right to talk about the beginnings. Please do your research and enjoy.
