Dare2Dream: Harold "Lefty" Williams on Our Lives with Shannon Fisher

Harold Lefty Williams, famous for being the first left-handed Harlem Globetrotter in history, has started the Harold Lefty Williams DARE 2 DREAM Foundation, Inc. The foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for youth and young adults through the development of sports, educational and character development programs. Through DARE 2 DREAM, Lefty and his wife seek to strengthen our communities, both domestically and globally, by helping these kids develop strong character.

Lefty Williams has long known that anything worth having wouldn't come easy. He and his wife both learned at an early age that there would be many days of hard work and sacrifice, and they they credit who they are today to the many growing pains they have faced in life. Growing up in New Jersey’s second largest city, they knew that the key to their success wouldn't come by blending into the crowd. They would have to DARE 2 DREAM.  

Our Lives with Shannon Fisher explores personal, political, and societal perspectives of the American experience. The show delves deeply into the worlds of writers, artists, celebrities, and community leaders and offers listeners food for thought on ways to better themselves and the world around them.
