Millennials are the first generation of news consumers to receive most of their news content online. As legacy media organizations continue to adjust their platforms to effectively reach millennials, a news organization that solely targets this generation has grown into the largest online news organization in the world. The Young Turks began as the first show on Sirius Satellite Radio in 2002 and now boasts an online news network of more than 30 channels and with more than 4-billion views on YouTube. NPC Broadcast/Podcast Committee member Shannon Fisher speaks to The Young Turks founder and host Cenk Uygur about the network’s growth, its content, and the business model that has generated such success.
