The Fear of the Lord has found its gracious way into the fabric of the being of the Church, hence, the world will fear us. Simply put, when we fear God, the world will fear us. Remember the Israelites in the days that they feared the Lord, how the people trembled at their presence? Examples are littered all over the Scriptures and one such is the story of Rehab who told the Spies sent by Joshua to survey the land of Jericho that their terror had fallen on the people of Jericho and she sold her country out. During Mordecai’s time, the terror of him also fell on the people after seeing the wonders of the Lord in the life of the Israelites. The opposite is seen in Psalm 53:4-6 where the Israelites held in captive, were subjected to great fear cause they feared not the Lord. Hallelujah. May God grant unto us, the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, Amen.
