We are in the midst of racial tension across the world due the death of a Black man called George Floyd. This has raised many questions around race and further given voice to the Black Lives Matter movement. I wanted to get the thoughts and feelings from fellow Black and People of Colour Occupational Therapists to begin the discussion about how we can increase diversity in the profession. I would like to say a BIG THANK you to all the OTs who shared thier views. If you would like to read the article pointed out by Mish (Relational Activism), please find the link below. If you would like to continue the conversation online, please tag me @OT_Chill on Twitter or "OTandChill" on instagram.

I am hoping to organise a Zoom meeting of black and people of colour Occupational Therapists to gather some ideas about how we can talk about race within the profession, increase representation and make suggestions to the RCOT to hopefully take forward. If would like to join this meeting, please drop me a DM via Twitter or Instagram (handles above) or email me at [email protected].
