Red Sox ownership has once again left another fan favorite and likely Hall of Famer out to dry. Bogaerts will now join Lester and Mookie as Red Sox legends-who-could-have-been-instead-of-should-have-been after he signed with the San Diego Padres for a cool $280 million at the closing of the MLB Winter Meetings.


Chaim Bloom and ownership cemented that signing the league-leading shortstop during the offseason would be "priority number one", but after missing out on several free agents in hopes to secure the homegrown talent, the Boston Brass once again refused to pay a guy what he is worth.
