There is so much wisdom to be found all around us and, yet, so many of us are so consumed with the minutiae of life that we never take any amount of time to pause, reflect, and consider the ageless wisdom that could drastically alter the course of our lives.

But it’s the ability to stop, ponder, and critically think about the situations we find ourselves in that will get you on the path you have a desire to walk. And, today, I am joined by the host of the Modern Wisdom Podcast, Chris Williamson, to discuss things like the power of curiosity, how to graduate from your current friends, how mental masturbation is holding you back, why you need to find ways to break up the monotony of your life, and so much more.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:

Overcoming the “adult infant” Recognizing worth outside of your accomplishments The problem with insecurity and fear as a motivator Having faith and confidence in your future self The importance of how we frame a situation in our minds Goals and process are both important to success Motivation is not a bad thing Developing “confident competence” Starting small Consistency is key Don’t over-complicate things Vindicating past suffering by helping others Building a complimentary team Never multiply anything by “0” The downside is rarely a bad as it seems Opportunity cost vs. anxiety cost
