The Mission of Christmas

We often think about Jesus being the greatest gift of Christmas. Christmas also reminds us that Jesus is our joy, peace, hope, and love. I wonder, though, if we ever think about the mission of Christmas? Jesus came because he was on a mission to save us from our sins and restore us to a right relationship with God. When we celebrate Christ's birth on Christmas, we are celebrating that he came to us on a mission. In this sermon we look at how that mission continued throughout Jesus' earthly life and how that mission applied to his Twelve Apostles and to all of us. This sermon is called "The Mission of Christmas" and looks at Matthew 9:35 - 10:15.
