Forgetting to Remember

Have you ever wondered why Israel has had a history of worshiping God in humble sincerity in one chapter, but you flip the page and find they are suddenly worshiping pagan idols? How could they fall so far, so fast? What about you? If you are like me focusing on Christ is natural and intentional when the pressure is on, but when the struggle is over that singular focus on Christ is divided up in a hundred different places and He slowly gets more forgotten until the next catastrophe. Why is that? What if you are going through some intense struggles—how do you specifically apply your faith when waiting for God’s answer? All these questions have a single answer which this sermon explores in Deuteronomy and Psalms.
