Welcome to In the Orbit of, the interview podcast from the Eisner Award-winning Orbital Comics!
In this very special episode, Liz, Paul & James give you a preview of two amazing Manga exhibitions happening in London right now: ‘This is Manga – The art of Urasawa Naoki’ at Japan House, Kensington and ‘Mangaマンガ’ at The British Museum.
These two exhibitions represent the very best of Manga, one of the World’s most exciting comic mediums and showcase the pinnacle of Japanese creators. In the first part of the podcast, we talk about the exhibitions and what they have to offer as well as our own very differing experiences with Manga. Then in part 2, Paul & Liz interview Urasawa-Sensei himself as he talks about his influences, his work and advice for budding Manga creators.
The interview was conducted in Japanese and English with live translation by Eyre Kurasawa.
