Welcome to another installment of the Orbital Comics interview podcast. Hot on the heels of the announcement of the upcoming Female Furies from DC Comics, series writer Cecil Castellucci stopped by to chat with Adam and Liz.
Cecil talks about the themes she’s packing into the book, the elevator pitch of “the #MeToo movement on Apokolips”, the experience of working in Jack Kirby’s Fourth World sandbox and the collaborative process with series artist Adriana Melo (Plastic Man).
Cecil recently wrapped up her Young Animal book Shade the Changing Woman (available from Orbital now). She is also a YA novelist, with Don’t Cosplay with My Heart published earlier this year. You can follow Cecil on Twitter and read the full DC Comics press release here.
Female Furies #1 is due out February 6th, 2019.
