This podcast aims to provide an overview of Oracle’s Container and Cloud Native Services. It’s the first of a two part series. Containers are what’s referred to as “operating system virtualization.” With a container, you’re building apps that are packaged together with their dependencies. Containers are orders of magnitude lighter than and faster to spin-up than VMs. Containers are also an integral part of the Cloud Native ecosystem. These types of software, which can be deployed on the public cloud or on-premises, enable developers to build more scalable, highly available, and observable applications.
