Today on OOBT, join M as she once again returns to our study in the book of Job. Together we see Job had no sooner finished saying, “The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord” after losing his 10 children and all his possessions, when Satan, the Accuser, once more enters the heavenly courtroom to ask God for permission to take Job’s health as well. Really?! Goodness gracious.
Fast forward a bit as M offers a not-so-common perspective about Job’s wife and his response to her harsh words. While the arrival of Job’s friends to silently sit with him seems to be a comfort at first, we will quickly learn that it would have been best if they had continued to sit silently though!
