He knows our hearts and is always waiting for our response, just as He waited and revealed Himself to the truth-seeking heart of the Samaritan woman.
This passage is read in the middle of Lent, a sacred time of preparation for the renewal of internal faith through external practices. Fasting, almsgiving, and prayer are powerful reflections of our internal conversions and gratitude for what the Lord has given us. These things are fulfilled with a deep connection to Jesus, with a heart in pursuit of God.
